翻译自动加工的验证 ——双语Stroop效应对比实验研究

摘    要:为了验证学者们关于翻译自动加工的推论,进行Stroop效应研究范式下的颜色命名实验。结果发现,在英译汉条件下,被试用汉语分别对只含有1个颜色信息维度的色块与含有颜色和语义2个信息维度的英文色词进行颜色命名,英文色词反应时显著大于色块反应时,表明被试在对英文色词命名时受到语义信息的干扰,换言之,被试在无意识状态下启动了语义自动激活,进行了英译汉语义自动加工。同理,汉译英实验也得到同样的结果。推论得到了验证。

Abstract:Two color naming tasks of Stroop effect test were performed in order to verify the hypothesis of automatic processing in translation. It was found that under the different conditions of both English Chinese and Chinese English translations, the response time of color word (with 2 dimensions of meaning and color) naming was significantly longer than that of solid squares (with only 1 dimension of color), which suggests the existence of semantic interference in color word naming. This shows automatic semantic priming took place without the subjects' awareness, namely, automatic processing was carried out and thus verified.
