政治文献文本翻译中意识形态的建构策略

我国政治文献文本蕴含着丰富的中国文化,体现着领导人的语言风格和价值观念,而意识形态在一定程度上总会影响着翻译过程的方方面面,左右着译者的翻译选择和翻译策略.因此,在政治文献文本的翻译过程中如何完整建构原文本的意识形态,如实地反映出原文的政治内涵和文化价值是译文不可忽视的重要环节.文章通过初步梳理意识形态和政治文献文本翻译间的相互关系,以《毛泽东选集》中的两篇摘文为例,探讨了我国政治文献文本翻译中建构意识形态的翻译策略.

On Translation Strategies for Constructing the Given Ideology in the Translation of Chinese Political Documents

Political documents in China are rich in Chinese culture and may embody leaders＇ distinctive language style as well as their political ideology. Meanwhile, ideology is a predominant factor which may affect, to a certain extent, all the aspects of translation, such as the choice of the texts to be translated and the translation strategies to be chosen. Accordingly, it is essential for a translator to bear in mind how to construct the given ideology of the source text in the process of translating Chinese political documents so as to reflect faithfully the original political connotations and cultural values. This paper, based on a tentative analysis of the interrelationship between ideolo- gy and political documents translation, explores the translation strategies used to construct the given ideology in the process of translating Chinese political documents. Two articles from the Selected Works of Mao Zedong are chosen to illustrate the author＇ s viewpoints.
