多媒体辅助大学英语教学的有效性探讨

摘    要:本文在对比分析传统教学与多媒体教学班级学生的四级统考成绩的基础上,探讨了多媒体辅助大学英语教学的有效性。多媒体辅助大学英语教学具有内容丰富、信息量大、图文并茂、生动形象等特点,其有效性充分体现在丰富性、多样性、自主性和灵活性等几方面。它倡导自主学习,为大英教学从以教师为中心的教学模式转向以学生为中心和学习为中心的教学模式提供了条件。但也有一些因素制约着多媒体辅助大学英语教学的有效性。本文主要探讨了焦虑感和距离感两大因素,并提出了解决的方法。

Abstract:This paper, based on the data collected from CET4, compares the effects of computer assisted language learning and traditional classroom teaching approach to College English. It explores the effectiveness of the Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL), which has the advantage of rich contents, large information, distinct sound and vivid pictures. The effectiveness is fully embodied in the aspects of richness, variety, flexibility and autonomy. By advocating autonomous study, CALL helps college English teaching change from the teacher-centered approach to the student-centered approach and the learning-centered approach. The paper also tackles two obstacles to the effectiveness of CALL. How to control the students' anxiety? How to shorten the distance between the communication of students and computer and the communication among people? The paper comes up with the solutions to these two problems.
