Corpora-based Research into Grammatical Rules of Aint

Ain＇t,the assumed non-standard form of English, has been in use for centuries. Compatible with what De-scriptive Linguists believe,ain＇t, though seems not an acceptable example of language usage, does have its distinctive and undeniable pragmatic features. The article first introduces the history of ain＇t coming into being, and then in-duces the word＇s grammatical rules by means of English corpora. It is concluded that the patterns of aint in use are rather determined, which in a way proves that the corpus-based method is valid for researches of other non-standard language use.
