| Abstract: | Confucius's highest ideal of rule of virtue is a society of equality ruled by nature while the lowest is a well-off society ruled by monarchs. "Benevolence" is the core of Confucius's rule of virtue, "etiquette" the guiding principle, and "decree of heaven" the closing loop. "Self-restraint" and "fraternity" are the main ways to rule of virtue. |
