西北界务谈判与西方地图使用——以光绪年间两次中俄西北界务谈判为中心

清光绪年间 ,中俄在西北有过两次界务谈判。当时的中方交涉者曾纪泽、许景澄等人缺乏来自国内可靠地图的有力支持 ,于是 ,出现了交涉中对于西方地图的使用、译介与研究 ,并由此引发了对传统地理学的反思 ,促进了近代地理学的产生。

Negotiation on Northwest Borders and Use of Map by Western Countries -Centered on Two Rounds of Negotiations on Northwest Borders between Qing Dynasty and Russia during Guangxu Period

There were two rounds of negotiations on Chinas northwest border between Qing Dynasty and Russia during Guangxu period. Lack of dependable map support domestically the then negotiators, such as Zeng Jize and Xu Jingcheng etc., took use of maps published by western countries, which was a start for reassessment on Chinas traditional geography, and a promotion element to the birth of modern geography.
