| Abstract: | The three novels, namely Billabong With Tiny Waves （ Si Shui Wei Lan ） , Before the Tempest （ Bao Feng Yu Qian） and Big Wave （ Da Bo ）, represent the highest achievement in Li＇s writing career. The female characters created by Li, such as Sister Cai, Mrs. Huang and Liu Sanjin, have great passion for life and behind all these characters can be seen Li＇s unique views of women, among which equality is the most important feature. |
