由普陀山石刻遗存看佛教文化演变

普陀山佛教文化缘起唐代,历经千年,发展过程跌宕起伏,有皇帝大力倡导而辉煌,也有因海禁政策而萧条,但发展演变的步伐从未停止。通过对普陀山石刻遗存的分析研究发现,不同时期石刻遗存时代特点正是普陀山佛教文化变化的外在表现,由此可以梳理出普陀山佛教文化演变的清晰脉络。

Buddhist Cultural Evolution through Stone Inscription Relics in Mount Putuo

Since the beginning of Tang Dynasty,Mount Putuo’s Buddhist Culture has never ceased her development within the whole period of more than one thousand years,despite the flourish due to emperors’ vigorous supports or the depression caused by the police of sea-ban.A research into the man-carved relics in Mount Putuo leads to the findings that the external features of the relics created in different periods of history are just the indications of the internal characteristics of the Buddhist Culture in Mount Putuo in corresponding period,so a clear understanding of how Buddhist Culture in Mount Putuo evolved can be achieved.
