旅游发展与英语教育改革的内涵——以云南省旅游业为例

云南省要建旅游文化强省 ,急需要大量的高素质的外语人才。英语教育应根据本地区的实际需求 ,改革创新 ,转变教育观念 ,调整充实教育内容 ,增加一些诸如民族文化等应用性、实用性强的课程 ,以增强学生的社会适应能力。这样 ,才能培养出真正符合社会经济发展需要的复合型外语人才 ,达到英语教育的目的。

On Tourist Development and the Connotations of English- teaching Reform-A Case Study of the Tourism of Yunnan Province

To build Yunnan into a prosperous tourist province with its typical ethnic cultures, a great number of talents skilled in the use of foreign languages are in dire need. Thus, English teaching requires new reforms according to the actual local needs. The reforms include a change of the traditional concept on education, an addition to the existing content in the syllabus and an offer of practically useful courses like Ethnic Cultures. In this way we can realize the aim of our education and produce multi-purpose graduates who can meet the needs of our social and economic development with a good mastery of foreign languages.
