For the explanation of the love tragedy of Mourning for the Past,most people have always looked for the reason from the external environment condition,especially economic reason.But to find its essential cause we must analyze the tragedy in terms of human nature,we can know the tragic emergence is inevitable in Lu Xun’s views,because the protagonist hold too romantic and too ideal expectation to the love,because of the selfishness of man,the selfish side in the human nature which is not changed from ancient times to the present.Lu Xun has shown the nihility and impractical of that kind of ideal love through Mourning for the Past.
