On the Subversion of Non-dramatic Songs to the Tradition of the Ancient Poetry

Although it is well known that the non-dramatic songs originated from the ancient poetry,it has comprehensively subverted the tradition of the ancient poetry,which is manifested in five major aspects: subvert the tradition of the gentle manner;the tradition of the strict selection of subjects which especially concentrated on the classical dogma rather than ordinary life;the traditional values of strict ranks which mean the absolute obedience to the senior one;the tradition of selecting elegant language instead of vulgar one and avoiding describing love affairs directly;the tradition of connotative elegance and implied meanings.
