大学英语口语能力形成性评估实证研究

教育部颁发的《大学英语课程教学要求(试行)》(简称《教学要求》)明确提出大学英语的教学目标是培养学生的英语综合应用能力,特别是听说能力,使学生在今后工作和社会交往中能用英语有效地进行口头的信息交流。《教学要求》强调了口语教学的重要性。但是,国内的众多口语考试,特别是大学英语四、六级口语考试,却不能完全适应这一《教学要求》。通过对3个实验班的口语教学和测试研究得出如下结论:建立一套新的口语能力评估体系,即把学生口语能力的形成性评估和终结性评估有机地结合起来,并更多地注重形成性评估是促进大学英语口语教学的有效方法之一。

An empirical study of formative evaluation of oral English ability at the tertiary level

College English Curriculum Requirements(for Trial Implementation)highlights the importance of oral proficiency acquisition.From a survey of the existing oral English tests in China,especially College English Test Spoken English Test,it is found that no test could really provide highly beneficial backwash for oral English teaching.After the experiment and research,the author comes to the following conclusion:in order to promote the teaching of oral English,a new evaluation system is needed,where formative evaluation and summative evaluation should be combined organically,with an emphasis on the former.
