英语词缀与汉语偏旁的范畴化功能

针对英语的WORD和汉语的＂字＂在一定程度上相对应的现象,采用比较的方法分析了英语词缀与汉语偏旁的相似性。研究发现英语词缀和汉语偏旁都具有范畴化功能,是认知范畴化作用于不同语言文字的结果,不同语言文字在构造上所体现的相似性反应了人类认知的普遍性。该研究有利于进一步认识语言、思维和认知的关系。

Categorization functions of English affixes and Chinese radicals

To some extent,the English WORD corresponds to the Chines＂ezi＂.In light of this phenome-non,analyzes were made of the similarities between English affixes and Chinese radicals.Findings show that both English affixes and Chinese radicals have categorization functions.They are both the re-sults of cognitive categorization in different languages and the word-formation similarities of different languages reflect the universality of human cognition.The findings help further understanding of the re-lation among language,thought and cognition.
