Cultural transplantation in translating: compromise and compensation

Language has distinctive native features and comprises deep cultural connotations. Therefore, to translators,the main difficulties of translation are the cultural differences between the Eastern and Western countries. To transmit the cultural message of the source language precisely, it is important to make appropriate compromise and compensation in the process of cultural transplantation. There are several approaches to translation as follows: paraphrase, adaptation, annotation, contextual amplification and so on.
