萍踪侠影“昆仑奴”

"昆仑奴"是唐代以来的中国人对生活在南洋一带某一人种的外国人的一种称谓。昆仑奴具有多方面的才能,园艺、耕作、训兽、音乐、武术、医道、鉴宝,尤善水下功夫。他们从遥远的南洋来到中国大陆,卖身为奴,为主人履行各种繁重的劳作,甚至有时还要为主人而牺牲。但在主人心目中,他们不过是工具、武器、玩具而已。昆仑奴形象的出现,大大丰富了中国古代小说的创作。

Kunlun Slaves in Ancient Chinese Novels

Kunlun slaves called by native Chinese are a title of a group of foreign people came from South Seas since the Tang Dynasty.They are skillful in gardening,farming,animal training,music,martial art,medical knowledge and treasure identification,and especially swimming.Far away from their homeland,they served their hosts as slaves by doing kinds of hard work and even sacrificing their lives.In their hosts' eyes,they were nothing more than tools,weapons or toys.Kunlun slaves enriched the creation of traditional Chinese novels.
