| Abstract: | By applying such ways as statistical analysis,comparative study,illustration and evaluation,the author tries to show the unique features of the antithetical parallelism,a very important rhetorical device successfully used by Ban Gu,the ancient Chinese historian,in his masterpiece History of the Former Han Dynasty,with a view to appreciating its elegant language style from a different perspective. |
