论“德法兼治”

在探索建设社会主义民主政治过程中 ,围绕如何治党、治国、有效管理社会这个问题 ,以江泽民同志为代表的第三代领导集体 ,正确把握道德与法律的内在关系 ,扬弃了我国历史上儒法两家传统的治国理念 ,提出了全新的治国理念——德法兼治。这一科学治国理念不断成为人们的共识 ,并在实践中正确运用 ,必将产生极其深远的影响

On "Combining the Rule of Law with the Rule of Virtue"

During the course of exploring and constructing democratic politics of our socialist country, we face a very important issue of how to lead the party, rule the country and conduct social management effectively. With regard to this issue, the third generation of the collective leadership of the party with Comrade Jiang Zemin as the representative has put forth a completely new theory -"combining the rule of law with the rule of virtue". The theory was formed through the correct grasping of the internal relationship between ethics and law, and through the way of developing what is useful and discarding what is not in the confucianist and legalist traditions of governing the country in Chinese history.Now this scientific theory of governing the country has come to become a common understanding of the whole nation and is properly applied to our everyday practice. It will undoubtedly exert a profound influence on the modernization of our socialist country.
