| Abstract: | In this article, the author is going to analyze the differences of love stories between English literature and Chinese literature in three major categories： the difference in quantities, the difference in contents and ways of expression and the difference in roles. Then Hofstede＇s concept of value dimensions is employed to analyze the reasons of these differences. Finally the conclusion is arrived at that the different cultures and traditions formed in the different historical processes of these two countries contribute a lot to their differences in literature. |
