| 摘 要： | 我国史籍之富,举世莫京,而史论之丰亦然,且皆散见各书,不便初学。昔司马光为《资治通鉴》,复撮取事要,代为衡其得失为《稽古录》。然温公所论,伤于简括,不具事形。此编之辑,与之相仿,而议论为详,遂名曰《稽古别录》。

| Abstract: | Chinese historical books are numerous, so are the comments on history. However, most of them are scattered in volumes of books and not easy to acquire. Sima Guang once edited Zi Zhi Tong Jian, and again selected the most important to be commented on into Ji Gu Lu. His comments are too brief without necessary details. My collection of comments on history, though similar to Sima Guang's, emphasizes details of facts and materials, thus named Ji Gu Bie Lu. |
