Death of Qiujin and Qiujin' s Literature in the Late Qing Dynasty

Qiujin was arrested for her participation in revolutionary planning for armed uprising and lost her life. Her magnificent image of revolutionist who laid down her life for the just cause was set up. However,this conclusion was not the common understanding of various social circles toward the Qiujin event at that time.The main voice that occupied the press circle was only that the killing of Qiujin was unjust:people in that times intentionally neglected her experience as a revolutionist and thought Qiujin as a female patriot,her revolutionary meaning had not gone beyond "men and women's equal rights" and "family's revolution",then pointed out that Qiujin was the founder of the family revolution and the heroine with the patriotic spirit when danger and disaster arrived.The Qiujin image coming from the Qiujin's literature,despite of its prejudice,contains profound information of the era.
