| 摘 要： | 教师培训和教师自我发展是当今英语教学理论研究的一个重要课题.作者在传递国际英语教师协会第34届年会上有关此话题信息的同时,讨论了它们给作者带来的启示.文章呼吁中国英语教师应重视教学理论的研习,但不拘泥于理论的教务和框框,并且指出教师作为一个独立的个体(自尊、自信以及个人魅力)对学习者会产生重要的影响.

On the Self-development of English Teachers |

| Abstract: | Teacher training and teacher self -d evelopment is one of the major issues in current English Language Teachin g re-search.This paper reports on some le ctures and workshops of this topic,p resented at the 34th IATEFL Annual Co nference,and dis-cusses their implication for us Chin ese teachers of English.It calls for heightened attention to pedagogica l research and awareness of the impact teachers' self(self -esteem and personality)may have on English language learners. |
