| 摘 要： | 《我弥留之际》是福克纳创作的多部哥特小说中的一部。整部小说从不同角度讲述了本德伦一家人运送棺材到杰弗逊的过程中所遇到的种种磨难。在这些磨难当中,死亡意向、恐怖的气氛、扭曲的人物心理等等一系列哥特因素使得这部小说成为了哥特小说领域的典范,挖掘这些哥特因素有助于我们对《我弥留之际》这部小说从整体上把握其深刻的主题。

| Abstract: | As I Lay Dying is one of Faulkner’s gothic novels.It narrates the whole journey that the Bundrens carted Addie’s coffin to Jefferson.During the journey the family members went through a number of miseries.Theses miseries,full of ghastly atmosphere,death,twisted mind of the characters and such gothic elements made this novel a masterpiece of Gothic fiction.Probing into these Gothic elements helps us to understand Gothic fictions on the whole. |
