试析科技英语篇章中名词(或名词短语)的重复

科技英语篇章发展过程中存在一种重要的词汇衔接手段，这就是名词（或名词短语）的重复。本文试图对科技英语篇章中名词（或名词短语）的重复现象进行分析并提出以下五种类型的重复：一，完全重复；二，缩略重复；三，用同（近）义词表达的重复；四，用上义词替代下义词的重复；五，用下义词回指上义词的重复。本文还就各种重复情况下名词（或名词短语）的回指照应关系进行了详细分析。

A Tentative Study of the Repetition of Nouns (or Noun Phrases)in the Sci-tech English Text

There exists an important lexical cohesion technique in sci-tech English text development. That is the repeti- tion of nouns (or noun phrases) .This article makes a tentative study of the repetition of nouns (or noun phrases)in the sci-tech text, and provides five types of repetition as follows: 1. full-form repetition; 2. short-form repetition; 3. repeti- tion by using synonymous terms;4. repetition by using superordinates to subtitute subordinates; 5. repetition by using subordinates to refer to superordinates. The author the analyzes the reference of the repetitve nouns (or noun phrases) in each of the five types.
