女性话语中人际隐喻的语用阐释

分析指出,在英语语言中,女性在言语风格上有别于男性,其突出表现在人际隐喻的使用上。在特定的语境中,女性选用人际隐喻中的语气隐喻可以巧妙地表现间接言语行为所能发挥的双重功效。从礼貌原则的角度来看,女性使用显性主观或客观取向的情态隐喻形式,一方面可以明确表达自己的观点,另一方面又可以增加话语的礼貌级别,对受话人以示礼貌和尊重。

Pragmatic interpretation of interpersonal metaphor in women＇s utterances

Women’s utterances differ from men’s in English language style manifest in the use of interpersonal metaphor.Women prefer metaphor of mood for the double role played by the indirect speech act.However,in view of politeness principle,the subjective or objective explicit metaphor of modality employed by women on the one hand can explicitly present their viewpoints,on the other hand can increase the degree of politeness,so as to show their respect to the hearers.
