| Abstract: | The effective point of acceptance is an important issue in law. Different countries have differentrules and regulations on it. Two of the most important legislative cases are mailbox rule and doctrine of receiptof the letter of acceptance. The Contract Law, set in 1999, adopts the doctrine of receipt of the letter of ac-ceptance to meet the needs of the legislating circumstance in China. This proves to be trend of the developmentof the law. |
