建设和谐社会是一项庞大而复杂的社会系统工程，涉及方方面面观念的转变和制度的更新。建设社会主义和谐社会既顺应了我国改革发展的客观需要，又体现了广大人民群众的根本利益和共同愿望。我们建设社会主义和谐社会，要坚持以人为本，树立全面、协调和可持续的科学发展观。与此同时，只有在实践中落实以人为本，保护人民群众的基本人权等，才能真正构建民主法治、公平正义、安定有序的社会主义和谐社会。

On the Construction of Socialist Harmonious Society and the Attitudes towards Human Rights

The construction of socialist harmonious society is a comprehensive and yet complex project supposed to be carried out systematically in the society. Having a lot to do with the changes in various ideas and the innovative improvement on the system,the construction is adjustable to the objective need of the reform and development in China on the one hand,and embodies the ultimate in-terests and common wishes of the country's ordinary people on the other. It is argued that,we should stick to the scientific development theory to reach the goal,which is man-oriented,comprehensive,coordinating and sustaining in nature. It is also suggested that only when we succeed in establishing the man-oriented society and protecting basic human rights of the mass in reality,can we truly and suc-cessfully construct a socialist harmonious society,where things like democratic and legal ruling,fairness and justness,security and orderliness are realized.
