| Abstract: | The discovery of endogenous active substance nitric oxide (NO) is a great progress of life science research in the 1980s. The authors illustrate that innovation is the soul of scientific research, being practical and realistic is the base of scientific research, and that analogy, association, and hypothesis are basic manners of scientific research by reviewing the discovery course of NO. |
