| Abstract: | Li Hongzhang, who was a key man in Chinese modern history, was involved in many significant historic events. Li Hongzhang established new-fashioned schools, sent students abroad, criticized the imperial exam system and reformed Chinese traditional education, all of which conformed to the development of Chinese modern history. |
