受贿与缉私——道光六至十二年两广总督李鸿宾史事考

道光六年至道光十二年期间的两广总督李鸿宾在中英关系中有两个负面记载:一、《清史稿》记述李鸿宾接受英商贿赂滥坏行商制度一事,二、《道光夷艘征抚记》等史书中提到的道光六年李鸿宾设立水师巡船导致鸦片入口数量激增一事。史料考证表明,《清史稿》对李鸿宾接受英商贿赂的记载存在与史实不符和概念错乱之处,值得怀疑;而李鸿宾所设的水师巡船固然腐败,却不是导致鸦片入口激增的主要原因。在长期的历史发展过程中,人们层累地加重了李鸿宾的罪名,夸大了他所应承担的历史责任。

Bribery and Smuggling Suppression: A Research on the History of the Two Kwuang Governer Li Hongbin from the year 1826 to 1831

There had been two disgraces in the record of the Two Kwuang Governer Li Hongbin in Sino-Chinese relations from the year 1826 to 1831.Firstly,the Draft of Qing History wrote his accepting Dent's bribery which did harm to the Hong System;secondly,books such as A Record of Qing troops dealing with the Babarian Warship in Daoguang Period and other history books described his patrol boats leading to the sharp increasing of opium import.By researching historical materials,we find that the first record has some vital mistakes compared to other records;the second,though the patrol boats commit corruption,is not the main reason for increasing of opium import.In the long period of years,people put more and more accusation the accusal on Li Hongbin,exaggerating his historical responsibility.
