薛凤祚会通中西的努力及失败原因分析

明末清初的西学东渐,引发了西方学术的大量涌入。薛凤祚引领当时学术风气之先,提出了一个会通中西学术的先进模式。为实现会通目标,薛凤祚不遗余力,其实践领域主要为天文历法,也旁及其他。但他的努力并没有取得预想中的效果,在整体上没有扭转中国学术在此之后被西方远远抛下的局面。

Analysis on Xue Fengzuo's Efforts to Integrate Chinese and Western Scholarship and the Reason of His Failure

In late the Ming and the early Qing Dynasty,a great quantity of Western scholarship and sciences burst into China.Xue Fengzuo led the fashion,and put forward an advanced mode on the scientific relationship between China and Western countries.To achieve his goal of integrating Chinese and Western Scholarship and,he spared no efforts in the fields of astronomy,calendar,and so on.But he failed to reach his expected goal set down by him,and failed to reverse the situation the backwardness the then Chinese scholarship was in.
