One distinctive feature of Luxun's works as literary classics lies in that they are available for multiple interpretations. In terms of its meaning and theme, Gu Xiang conveys not only criticisms of the old system and society,but also sympathy towards the sad destiny of people. In the traditional reading marked by political and social bias,"my" feeling and the mental process are more or less ignored. The reinterpretation of Gu Xiang is both to review,describe and display the process of my spirit and feeling carefully,and to redefine the character of self-expression of Gu Xiang .
