试论民国时期京津两市婚姻自由的实施进度

作为中国近代婚姻变革的核心内容,婚姻自由不但受到社会舆论的关注与提倡,也被青年男女视作躬身实践的目标。从整个民国时期看,京津两市婚姻自由所能普及的范围,只可达于舆论与法规层面,在社会现实中还经常遭遇到重重困难。家长在缔结婚姻中的决定权力以及不容毁约的传统习俗,都是横跨在婚姻自由实施途径中的巨大障碍。以婚姻自由为核心的婚俗变革,在冲突与磨砺中艰难演进。

A Study on the Progress of Marital freedom in Beijing and Tianjin during the Republic of China

As the core of marital reform in modern China,marital freedom had only been concerned and advocated by the public opinions,but also been pursued as a practical goal by young individuals.However,as in the case of Beijing and Tianjin,the two major cities in North China,the progress of the fashion during the Republic of China was far from popular in real life and was achieved merely on the stage of public opinions and regulations,for it met obstacles from family regimes and social conventions.
