| Abstract: | Brevity is the most conspicuous lingustic style of Lu Xun's novels. It is simple in wording but intricate in meaning, which manifests the writer's extraordinary linguistic style, odd and peculiar, deep -going and forceful, hard to understand but full of tastes. The brevity of language in Lu Xun's novels originates in expressiveness and creativeness of rhetoric, in peculiarity of syntax, in full play of individuality in ingenious wording, as well as in artistic management of common words. |
