| Abstract: | Expressionism has great influence in western countries, especially in German. It gave much nutrition to modern painting while expressionist aesthetics and expressionist art pushed forward the expressionist movement in turn. Moreover, the flourishing of expressionism in the west had its background and characteristics of times. In this article, the author tries to make a detailed analysis of expressionism from the angle of modern painting and expressionist aesthetics as they are closely related to the significant movement. |
