Social Economy and Religious Cultures in Turfan Area in Ming Dynasty

During the last days of the Yuan dynasty and in the early part of the Ming dynasty, political situation in the Western Regions changed irregularly, and Turfan, occupying vital communications line, was becoming increasingly important strategically. Along with the Eastern Chagataikhanid strengthened its political control over Turfan, numbers of Mongolian nobles and common people settled there and commercial connections between Turfan and interior of China was enhanced, social economy and cultural outlook of Turfan underwent a historic transform. This transform produced a deep effect on the course of history of the Western Regions in Ming dynasty.
