新文科:从希拉姆模式到中国模式

摘    要:始于2017年的希拉姆学院新文科项目与发轫于2019年的中国新文科建设,二者名称和兴起时间相近,在内涵和实施过程上则是迥异。对希拉姆学院新文科项目的缘起、内涵、特色以及形成的希拉姆模式进行梳理分析,以戏剧与影视学学科建设为案例,对比论证其与中国新文科建设的理论、路径及其形成的中国模式。研究认为,希拉姆模式有其“小”而灵活的特征,能够为高校戏剧与影视学学科促进专业融合,积极利用科技设备提升教学效果,鼓励学生走出校园提升专业知识技能等方面提供参考; 中国新文科建设整体上体现出大国的大格局,表现为教育强国的战略布局,主动迎变的理论智慧担当,群策群力的人才培养实践响应,在坚守本土和开放包容、守正创新与积极求变中,彰显出中国高等教育改革的优越性,具有影响范围广、理论研究深、发展后劲足、改革成果多等特点。

New liberal arts: from Hiram model to China model

Abstract:The Hiram "New Liberal Arts" project, which started in 2017, and China's "New Liberal Arts" program, which initiated in 2019, have similar names and initiation timings, but are different in connotation and implementation process. This paper makes a comprehensive analysis of the origin, connotation, characteristics of Hiram's "New Liberal Arts" project and the subsequently formulated Hiram model, and compares and demonstrates the theory, path of China's new liberal arts construction and the subsequently formulated China model taking the construction of drama and film and television disciplines as case study. The research believes that the Hiram model has "small-scale" and flexible characteristics, which can offer references in promoting the integration of drama and film and television disciplines in colleges and universities, actively utilizing scientific and technological equipment to improve teaching effects, and encouraging students to go out of campus to improve professional knowledge and skills. On the whole, China's "New Liberal Arts" program symbolizes the great foresight of a big country, which is reflected in the strategic layout of a strong country in education, the theoretical wisdom to take the initiative to adapt to changes, and the practical response to talent training with concerted efforts. It shows the superiority of China's higher education reform while adhering to the local spirit and open and inclusive mindset, maintaining integrity and innovation and actively seeking change, and has the characteristics of broad influence, in-depth theoretical research, strong development potential, and numerous reform achievements.
