| Abstract: | It is considered that the imagery is not an isolated concept, but a component of the Chinese traditional aesthetic system. The relation between the idea and image is similar to that between the coding and decoding in computer science. The imagery is sublimated to form the artistic conception and is obtained depending on subtle consciousness instead of direct perception through the senses.There are false or true imageries. Only by alternating the false and true imageries will there be reasons to follow and boundless thinking. The imagery lies in the heart of the author whereas the artistic conception gets in the heart of readers. |
