论徽商的文化自觉

本文所谓文化自觉,是指对某一事物所具有的清醒的理性认识,表现出一定的先进性,并且能够付诸实践。徽商是一个有文化自觉的商帮,表现在如下几点:(1)敢于冲破传统的四民观,毅然走上经商之路。(2)能够树立正确的义利观,自觉坚持商业道德。(3)自觉投身到各种文化事业中,对收藏、刻书、戏剧、书法、医学、教育都倾注了极大的热情,这是对文化的一种敬畏及对文化传承的责任担当。(4)秉承正确的财富观,勇于社会担当。(5)不少徽商认清形势,自觉实现转型。徽商之所以有这种文化自觉,是因为徽商"贾而好儒",有文化、有信仰。有文化就富于理性,能够正确处理各种问题;有信仰,才能有敬畏,才能自觉地去践行。文化和信仰,两者具备,才能升华为文化自觉。

On the Cultural Consciousness of the Merchants From Anhui Province

In this paper, the so-called cultural consciousness refers to a clear rational understanding of a certain matter. It shows certain advancement and can be put into practice. Merchants from Anhui province are a business group who are culturally conscious. They have the following characteristics： I. They have the courage to break through the concept of Simin and determinedly go on the road of doing business. II. They are able to have a correct concept of righteousness, and they consciously adhere to business ethics. III. They are consciously engaged in a variety of cultural undertakings. They show great enthusiasm for collection, engraving books, plays, calligraphy, medicine and education. This is a kind of awe of culture and they shoulder the responsibility of the cultural heritage. IV. They adhere to correct concept of wealth and have courage to take on social tasks. V. Many merchants from Anhui province understand the situation, and have consciously achieved the transformation. The reason why merchants from Anhui province have this cultural consciousness is that they are ＂businessmen and yet love learning＂. They are educated and have faiths. They are educated so that they are rational and handle issues properly;they have faiths so that they have the fear and practice consciously. They are both educated and having faiths, which results in the sublimation to the cultural consciousness.
