| Abstract: | Hu Shanyuan is an old writer with his unique charm in the history of modern Chinese literature. The study of Hu Shanyuan by the academic circle can be divided into three stages: 1923-1976, the stage of laying the foundation for the study of Hu Shanyuan, in which general and comprehensive study of him was made; 1976-1990, the stage characterized by the gradual enlargement of the scope, the development of the depth, and the enhancement of the level of study; the 1990s saw the considerable progress and continuous increase in the achievements of the study of Hu Shanyuan. |
