The Analysis of Women Figures in Xiao Hong's Novels

Most novels written by Xiao Hong focus on women as an object for expression. However,she never looked forward to a romantic expectation on the existence of women. Those hardships she had experienced enable her to insight into the empty and helplessness in life. As a result, most of the women figures in her novel are lack of clear self-consciousness, and the self-consciousness towards life in particular. Some women figures in her novel even don＇t deserve a name,just struggle like animals between life and death. As a writer,Xiao Hong was keenly interested in depicting death and pointed more to death itself,without the poetry imagination about death commonly exhibited in general writes.
