论现代新儒学的内在向度——寻求宗教精神、哲学精神与科学精神的统

现代新儒学相承传统儒学“即哲学即宗教”的特质 ,面对在儒学中安顿科学理性精神的时代课题 ,力图将宗教精神、哲学精神与科学精神统一于心性之“一本”,作为其基本的义理归趋。这代表了儒学在现代社会谋求新开展所必有的一次历史性转进。新儒学虽然没能真正实现三者的内在统一 ,但它从一个侧面对于宗教、哲学与科学的关系问题提出了中国式的解读方式 ,直接关涉到了当代人类生存与发展所面临的重大问题。面对相对主义盛行的时代 ,新儒家的有关理论取向与西方后现代主义一起构成了两种正相反对的基本选择 ,将有可能为人类寻求更健康、合理的存在方式提供某种有益的借鉴。

Yet the neo Confucianism does not carry out in making the three in one organic unity , but it provides in one aspect a Chinese style of decipherment for the relationship among the religion, philosophy and science . This involves the important problem of human life, his existence and development in the contemporary world. In an era of relativism prevails, the neo Confucianism will come to be an opposite choice in the light of its theory to the post modernism of the West, and, perhaps, this may serve as a mirror for us to draw lessons to seek a sound and reasonable mode of existence.
