19世纪后半期美国女子高等教育发展的历史动因分析

摘    要:19世纪后半期美国女子高等教育的发展主要表现为女子学院、附属女子学院的创办以及男女合校教育的推行。这一发展是女子高等教育观念、工业化发展、女权运动勃兴、战争影响等诸多社会因素综合作用的结果。这一时期美国女子高等教育的发展极大地丰富了美国现代高等教育制度的内涵。

Abstract:The establishment of female colleges and the affiliated female colleges, as well as the practice of co_education are three main manifestations of the development of American woman higher education in the latter half of 19th century. This progress is a result of many social factors,including woman higher education concept, industrialized development, the vigorous growth of feminism movement and the effects of the Civil War. The progress of American woman higher education in this period greatly enriched the content of American modern higher education system.
