论英国哲学的现代转型

西方哲学从近代到现代的转型最早发生在英国.19世纪中期到20世纪初英国哲学的发展大致可以划分为前后两个阶段.前一阶段的哲学主要是在古典经济学、功利主义伦理学和进化论等科学思潮的直接影响下形成并与之融为一体的实证主义运动,它极大地促进了现代哲学的反形而上学倾向.后一阶段的哲学主要表现为浪漫主义文学运动输入的德国唯心主义,以及由此进一步发展起来的绝对唯心主义运动.这两个阶段的哲学发展都处于从近代到现代转化的过程.

On the Modem Transformation of British Philosophy

Britain saw the beginning of modern transformation of Western philosphy.The development of British philosophy can be classified into two stages from the mid 19th century to the beginning of 20th century.The first stage is characterized by positivism influenced by and integrated into such scientific thoughts as classical economics,utilitarian ethics and evolution theory,which greatly stimulates the anti-metaphisical tendency of modern philosophy.The second stage is featured by German idealism brought out by literary movements of romanticism and the absolute idealism.Those two stages of philosophy development can be included into the modern transformation of philosophy.
