世界文明转型与“第三波现代化”——在韩国全北大学的讲演

当代文明正处于转型阶段,其代表特性即“第三波现代化”。18世纪以后的西方大工业化是第一波现代化运动,20世纪70年代崛起的“亚洲四小龙”是第二波现代化,而21世纪的“金砖四国”经济发展是第三波现代化。作为世界现代化的不同阶段考察,这是对世界现代化进程的一种新观念。作者认为,第三波现代化的主体思想是辩证理性而不是技术理性,是在多元文化语境中的理论更新。第三波现代化的代表形态是中国文化,这是辩证理性指导下的现代化模式。

The World Civilization Transformation and "The Third Wave Modernization"--The Speech in Korea Quanbei University

The modern civilization is in the transformation phases whose characteristics are "the third wave modernization". After the 18th century, the west industries are the first wave modernization; "Four Asian Tigers" in 1970s is the second modernization, while "the Four Gold-Brick Countries" in 21st century is the third modernization. As different phase''s investigation of world modernization, it is a new concept of world modernization process. The author thinks that the main thought of the third modernization is the dialectical reason not the technique reason, and it is the theory renewal in multi-culture context. The form of the third modernization is China culture, and it is modem model of the leading direction of the dialectical reason.
