五四浪漫主义的局限与衰落

五四浪漫主义思潮辉煌一时,但没能取得更大的成就。这是由于中国浪漫主义者在提出个性解放要求时没有先接受理性精神的洗礼,从而使他们对创作采取了过分情绪化的态度。同时,社会革命的时代,五四式的浪漫主义的存在空间非常狭小,一些“革命文学”的提倡者在对待浪漫主义问题上又存在着模糊认识,这就导致五四浪漫主义过早地因分化而衰落．

DISCUSSION UPON THE LIMITATION AND DECLINE OF ROMANTICISM DURING THE MAY 4TH MOVEMENT

The romantic bend had a very splendid period during the Mily 4th Movement. However, no greater achievements had been made. Since the Chinese romanticists didn't go through the baptism of rational spirit when they put forward the strong request of the full expression of individtmlism, they applied too senhmental attitUde to write. Meanwhile, the space of the romanticism wits very narrow and some advocators of "revolutionary literature"had a vague idea of how to regard the romanticism. Hence, the romanticism during the May 4th Movement declined prematurely owing to its own split.
