A Retrospect of My Academic Road

While recalling his academic experience, the author of this paper anal yses his personal gains and limitations, which highlight the necessary condition s for academic development. In this p aper, the author also gives an account of the development of his viewpoints on m odern Chinese literature and explains the characteristics of historical studies based on his own academic experience.
