| Abstract: | The paper outlines the stylistic theories of the May Forth Movement fiction. The stylistic theories of the period focused on the promotion of modern Chinese, the introduction of Western philosophy on fiction and Western fiction theories espcially the three essentials of fiction. Introduction and discussions of structures and the narrative person were part of this period's theories. Nevertheless, the stylistic theories of this period's fiction were far from rich and biased views were not uncommon. |
