On non-equivalence in English-Chinese translation

The phenomenon of incorrect and non-equivalent translation often occurs in the translation from English to Chinese.This paper,with the help of the accurate examples,centers around the under-standing of English and the expression of Chinese.From seven aspects of this non-equivalent transla-tion,the paper discusses and analyzes the main reasons for the occurrence of such a phenomenon,aiming to solve the puzzling problem and to achieve better translation of equivalence and effect from the original language to the target one.
