隋唐时期南风北渐述论

摘    要:魏晋以来,以洛阳、建邺(今南京)为中心凝聚成南北两个风俗区。南方从“地广人稀”到“地小人众”,其风俗文化也由“粗放型”转变为“集约型”,形成了独特的文化价值选择。隋唐时期,饮茶、“试儿”、生日、拔河、踏青、族谱等诸多的民俗事象纷纷由南方传到北方,这种“文化北返”的现象说明,南方在风俗文化上已居新潮和领先地位。

Abstract:Since the Wei-Jin period,two customs districts-one in the then South China and the other,in the then North China-have take shape with Jianye(present Nanking) and Luoyang as their centre respectively.The former bears its own unique cultural values as it shifted from a "vast under-populated land" to a "small densely populated one".Up to the Sui-Tang period,folk customs as tea-drinking,child's fate-testing,birthday celebrations,Tug-of-war,sight-seeings,pedigree-writing,etc,were all transplanted to the North,demonstrating that the South had ranked itself above the North in terms of customs culture.
