家庭是社会的细胞和缩影。近代以来日本的家庭结构和功能发生了较大的变化。具体表现为 :家庭规模减小 ,核心家庭比率上升 :直系家庭基本保持不变 ,单身家庭异军突起 ;直系家庭与核心家庭并存 ;家庭生育功能降低 ;教育功能提高 ;消费功能大大增强 ;赡养功能削弱。在走向现代化的过程中 ,日本家庭制度的变化既有与西方发达国家家庭制度演变一致的方面 ,同时又保留了传统的民族特色

Changes in Japanese Family Structure and Functions in Modern times

Families are social cells and epitomes. The structure and functions of Japanese family have greatly changed in modern times, which are shown in detail as follows: shrinking of family scale, rising of the rate of nuclear family, remaining unchanged of lineal family, one person family suddenly coming to the fore,and coexisting of lineal family and nuclear family. Inside the family, reproductive function declining, educational function increasing, consumer function strengthening, and supporting function weakening. Towards modernization, changes of Japanese family system share identities with family system evolution of western developed countries meanwhile retain its traditional characteristics.
